심재국 평창군수, 스위스 로잔에서 토마스 바흐 회장과 만나 '올림픽 유산 프로젝트' 방향 논의

 심재국 평창군수는 현지시간 24일 오후 스위스 로잔에서 토마스 바흐 IOC 위원장을 만나 “2018 평창올림픽 유산 프로젝트를 세대를 넘어 지속할 것”에 대해 논의했다.

 2018년 평창 동계올림픽 당시 도지사로서 토마스 바흐 IOC 위원장을 다시 만났고, 지금은 올림픽을 경험한 도시의 수장으로서 다시 만난 심재국 평창군수는 “올림픽 유산 프로그램을 계획하고 운영하는 것이 얼마나 중요한지 알고 있습니다. IOC의 올림픽 정신을 이어받아 개최국임을 자부하고 유산 프로젝트를 추진하겠습니다”고 말했다.

 평창군은 평창의 자연환경을 바탕으로 올림픽기념관 건립과 2024 강원청소년올림픽의 성공적인 개최를 약속하며 다시 한번 전 세계인을 평창으로 초청할 계획이다.

 4일간의 만남을 마치고 평창군 참가자들은 세계 유일의 야생 봅슬레이 트랙과 스위스에서 가장 가파른 스키장 시설을 보유한 1928년과 1948년 제1회 동계올림픽이 개최된 장크트모리츠로 이동해 겨울 스포츠 및 관광 전략의 역사를 둘러본다.

 Pyeongchang-gun plans to invite people from all over the world to Pyeongchang once again, promising to promote the construction of the Olympic Memorial Hall and the successful hosting of the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games based on the natural environment of Pyeongchang.

 After the four-day meeting, the Pyeongchang-gun participants moved to St. Moritz, where the first two Winter Olympics were held in 1928 and 1948, to see the world's only wild bobsled track and the steepest ski slope facility in Switzerland, and explore the history of winter sports and tourism strategies. do.
